ABOUT FOOTNOTES DANCE ACADEMY

We offer a fun, safe, positive environment for students 3 to adult. Dancers creatively explore healthy living through the art of dance.

FootNotes offers quality dance classes based on a nationally recognized standard syllabus. We emphasize technique, safety, creativity, and expression to reach ones full potential.

We also offer our students the opportunity to futher their performance expereience by audition to join the FDA Dance Team. As a member of the dance team, students represent FootNotes Dance Academy at various local dance competitions.

Since our inception in 2008 FootNotes has strived to create a positive environment where all feel welcome. We were pleased to open the doors to our new studio in Pickering Village in January of 2011.

Miss Nicole Artistic Director
Miss Nicole has been dancing for over 20 years, teaching for 8 years and continues to train with many notable teachers and schools across the GTA. A University graduate, Nicole is a certified dance teacher with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) and the Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC).

 
   
 

 

Miss Rhea Associate Artisic Director
Miss Rhea has been dancing for 15 years and teaching for 4 years. She has a very diverse background and continues to educate herself about dance in anyway possible. She has trained with many reputable professor and professional dancers from around the world. She is currently working on her BFA in dance at York University. She is also currently working on her RAD teachers certification.

 
 
 

 

Mr Courtney Hip Hop Instructor
Mr. Courtney D. has been a street hip-hop dancer since the age of 6. He began his classical training in hip hop, studying various dance forms including Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. He is currently enrolled in the dance Program at Ryerson Univeristy, studying various dance forms from many well known instuctors. He began his teaching career 3 years ago, teaching for various studios and community groups.

 
 

 

Miss Monique Instructor
Miss Monique has been dancing for 15 years and has been teaching for 3. She has been trained in various dance forms and has competed in competitions around North America. She graduated from the Arts York Dance program at Unionville High School for the Performing Arts in June 2010. Since then, she has been taking classes with many reputable teachers and dancers in Toronto.
